Regardless of all the "unhappy" comments about the hotel, it is a nice small hotel, located at one of the best possible locations in the heart of Barcelona. The location is great and you can walk to many must-see places in under 30 minutes. The rooms are clean with all possibly needed facilities in them. It is a good place to stay if you want to explore the Spanish architecture, people, food and culture.
